Creating Dimensions

Create custom rating dimensions that define what aspects of UX to evaluate.

What are Dimensions?

Dimensions are the criteria evaluators use to rate an experience. Each dimension represents a specific aspect of UX quality, such as Visual Design, Usability, Content Quality, or Navigation. You can use the default dimensions or create custom ones tailored to your needs.

Creating a Custom Dimension

  1. Go to the Dimensions page from the main navigation.
  2. Click "New Dimension".
  3. Enter a name for your dimension (e.g., "Checkout Flow Clarity").
  4. Write a description that explains what this dimension measures.
  5. Select a rating scale (5-point or 7-point).
  6. Add a rubric that describes what each rating level means.
  7. Save the dimension.

Default Dimensions

Autousers includes several default dimensions you can use out of the box: Visual Design, Usability, Content Quality, Information Architecture, and Accessibility. These provide a solid starting point for general UX evaluations.

infoCustom dimensions are scoped to your team. Create a shared set of dimensions that your entire team uses for consistency across evaluations.
